There are four settings for music file formats which you can change if necessary: Bit rate, Frequency, Volume and Channels.
Bit rate is the average number of bits that one second of audio data will consume. Higher bit rate means bigger file size and generally better audio quality while lower bit rate means lower file size but lower audio quality. It is usually expressed as kilobits per second (kb/s). 128 kb/s is selected by default.
Frequency refers to how frequently the analog signal is measured during the sampling process. It is measured in Hertz (Hz). The more frequently the signal is sampled, the better the approximation to the original sound. However, the higher the sample rate the more memory is required to store the samples. 44100 Hz is selected by default.
The Volume drop-down list allows you to select a percentage of the original volume to rip audio files. 100% is selected by default.
The Channels drop-down list allows you to select the channels to rip audio files. There are two options available: 1 (Mono) and 2 (Stereo) (the default).
